UNC Center for Health Equity Research is a vibrant intellectual home for health equity research and innovation at UNC-Chapel Hill and aims for global recognition of its role as a leader in the field. The work of the Center will bring together scholars, trainees, and community members from diverse disciplines to form collaborative multidisciplinary teams with a shared commitment to health equity, innovation, and translational research. This shared commitment will serve as a bridge among their disciplines and levels of experience. Center members generate new knowledge and contribute to the science of health equity research thus driving innovation in collaboration with underserved communities to improve health.
The Center for Health Equity Research is located at the UNC Department of Social Medicine in the School of Medicine.

Position Summary
The Research Assistant will be responsible for providing research support for the day-to-day activities of the NC CEAL project under the Principal Investigator and Project Manager. The purpose of this position is to assist the research team in the development and preparation of research and training materials, reporting, administrative duties, and IRB preparation and submission.
Activities to support this work will include but not be limited to assisting with research administration, task and milestone reporting, data compilation and visualization; assisting with preparation of applications and modifications to the Institutional Review Board; contributing to preparing and submitting progress and data reports; communicating with the research team and community research partners; and supporting data collection, management, and report development; and survey development and administration. In this position, the successful candidate will not only be required to work with diverse research teams, but also be able to work independently on tasks assigned to them.
The hired candidate will support the coordination, collection, and analyzing of data and provide feedback and input on protocol development and reports. As assigned, the candidate will work independently to summarize data to organize and prepare reports and presentations; and provide recommendations on and contribute to manuscripts.
